Afraid of MS....25 year prehistoric manly..?

....I went to the doctor complaining about pulsating pins and needles in my moved out foot, mainly in the toes. He checked my circulartory said it was fine, and made me do reflex and said that my nerves seem to be ok. He said it was most likey a crushed nerve from running. I also told him that my vanished leg felt tight, like I needed to stretch it. He said to wait it out, took blood work and programmed an EMG. The tingling has pretty much stopped, however, I can occasionally feel my blood pumping through my foot. Other than that, my left leg still feel tight, like a need to stretch it, plus I have have a eye pain in my left eye, next to no vision issues. Im scared because my wife is pregnant and I am the only one who is working within my family. I can't afford to have MS. I am so scared. I am wondering why my doctor never even mentioned it? She I call for and ask for an MRI? or just see how the emg and blood work comes back. Scared here.
Answers:    Seems pretty extreme to jump to the worse case scenario. Wait for the blood tests. If you are a runner, you can experience various nerve/muscle issues next to even basic injuries. Again, I say don't 'go' there surrounded by your head....stress will make you sick too, by the way...so as your wife is going to be taking thinking of herself and baby..make sure to take thoroughness of you too.
If you are concerned about MS, you might want to ask for an Evoked Potentials Test. This tests your eyes, limbs and extremities. It does not impart a definite positive diagnosis, but will give an indication if there is a problem. It is done surrounded by a doctor's office and consists of looking at a screen with different patterns on it, and then having things attached to your limb which make them move on their own accord.

Although nerve problems are all your own of MS, you have leg symptoms more characteristic of an over-use injury in your leg (although overuse doesn't explain the eye problem). Perhaps the nest piece to do is stop running, and concentrate on leg stretching exercises and see if things improve within a few weeks. Overuse commonly causes muscle spasm/tightness and guts entrapment. MS is not usually suspected until more common causes are ruled out.

There is no urgency in diagnosing MS since the treatments are focused primarily on relieving symptoms, and most treatments don't work amazingly well anyhow. Even the most aggressive forms take nearly a decade or more to cause unbearable problems.

There would be no reason to expect abnormal blood results with the symptoms you own.
wait for the results ofyour tests first. they could give you an answer as to what is cause it. if you're still not satisfied after that go for an MRI. It could be any number of things. Were you to see a neurologist? And even with MS nearby are varying degrees of it. Not that it makes it any better but some people can verbs to work or do other work with it. Montel Williams has had it for years presently. Just wait for the results and try not to worry about it for in a minute.
