What is that providence that I could return with tetinus?

I fell of my bike and scraped my knee. It wasn't a bad scrape, but I scraped it on a rusted sewer grate. I have like two really small parts that started bleeding, but the colour of rust from the grate was smeared across my wound and my leg. The only time I can bring to see my doctor to get my booster (which I'm due to get) is about two weeks after the original cut. It's already be a week and she just got back from break and that is the only time I could get to her. Also, I merely trust her with giving me needles because I am DEATHLY afraid of them and she's really good at giving needles.
I want to know is, am I going to become sick or anything like that? Will I be more at risk if I continue for my doctor? How will I know if I'm in trouble?

I would hope a doctor or someone with experience answers this.
Answers:    Well you probably won't get tetanus unless you rubbed sewage from a farm on it, but you need to get tetanus boosters regularly anyway. It's simple prevention. Plus most tetanus boosters also contain the pertussis vaccine and it's to some extent important to get that.
