my dad was diagnosed with kidney failure second year, i can't remember if it was stage one or two, however the doctors said it was at a good stage to be controlled, so it couldn't receive worse. anyways, he's 55. i'm 17, whats the chances of me getting it? the doctor did mention that it could be passed on. anyone with experience or information? saves me wasting a doctors time.
Answers:     Hi!
involve to find out why your father's kidneys are failing.

Ask his doctor. If the doctor has said that it can be passed on, arrange to be screened to find out if you have it or not. That style, if you don't have it, you can stop worrying.

will not be wasting your doctor's time to ask him whether you could be at risk. If you are then he can advocate you on the sort of lifestyle which will minimise the chances of you becoming symptomatic. It may be possible to test you to see if you carry anything condition your dad has, if that is it really is genetic. It would be good to find out because, unsurprisingly, if you do have a genetic condition then you could pass it to any of your own children.

I hope your father's condition stays stable
Good luck
It depends completely on the make happen of the kidney failure. Some causes are gentically inherited, and some are not. So you may be at greater risk than some people, and you may not.
only way to find out is to dance to see your doctor with your father, and find out more about his condition.
