What can be done to lend a hand a lenient beside liver disease?

My step-dad is in Stage 4 liver disease.
wondering what we can do to improve his quality of natural life to keep him strong enough and healthy satisfactory to be put on the transplant list.

Whats foods are good?? Not good?
