6 Days Later? Could It Be Infected?

My mom and me got tattoo's on the 22nd for my birthday.
is just fine and everything is way dandy.

But my mom's is turning red by some of the lines. A righteous centimeter from the line till the red ends.

I drilled her with questions to see if she did something wrong. She did everything right except not put the lotion stuff on it enough {only when she wash it}

Could it be infected? or is that normal?
ld I force her to go to the doctor?

Sounds like a superficial infection. If it's red and swollen later she should see the doctor.
