COPD and it's final stages?
My mother was diagnosed with COPD six years ago. She has since have a trach put in to assist with her breathing. Along with the COPD, she also have CHF, diabetes, lupus, high blood pressure, poor circulation. My question is, she is starting to swell very much, 5 or more pound cargo gains daily. Her doctor tells us NOTHING and answers none of our question. We were wondering if we should prepare for the worst now. Any information will help.

copd is fruitless news. as a combination of all 6, it's a wonder she's still alive. the swelling is from the CHF, which causes excess fluids to build up contained by the lungs, ankles to swell and abdominal swelling. Source(s): symptoms of CHF
