Am I taking the right antibiotic?

I found out 2 days ago I have a bullseye mark from a deer tick bite. It's 4th of July weekend, and I'm not going to the hospital because I don't have $1000 to blow. My friend only just got a vasectomy, and had some antibiotics left over (CIPROFLOXACIN 500mg). Is it safe and sound to take these until I can reach a doctor?
Answers:    Deer ticks, unlike other types of ticks, carry Lyme Disease, a disease that cause flu-like symptoms, fatigue, joint pain, and can evolve into a condition that causes lasting heart damage and neurological damage if not caught rash and treated. Approximately one-third of all deer ticks carry Lyme Disease. Finding a deer tick on yourself, or your child, can be frightening. Finding one that is deep-rooted in your own or your child's skin can be terrifying. Removing a deer tick is a harrowing experience. Improper removal can force more of the bacteria that cause Lyme Disease into your body, so proper deer tick treatment is crucial.
you are describing is the first symptom which is usually an expanding rash (called erythema migrans, or EM, in medical terms) which is thought to occur contained by 80% to 90% of all LD cases. An EM rash generally have the following characteristics:

Usually (but not always) radiates from the site of the tickbite
Appears either as a solid red expanding rash or blotch, OR a interior spot surrounded by clear skin that is in turn ringed by an expanding red rash (looks approaching a bull's-eye)
not think your overall health is "blowing" $1,000 dollars.
