Antibiotics used for chest infection and steriods to minister to you breathe is it correct?

I have asthma and i think i have a chest infection i want to clarify that the antibiotics are to face-off the infection and the steroids are to help widen my airways and help me breathe and the reason to take them both is because im asthmatic
Answers:     Yeah sometimes, it depends on other problems you may have, but too much can be deathlike! Ask a docter first. Source(s): My Intel Mind
controlled use of steroids are great for inflammatory reactions associated with bronchial smooth muscle (locatedt contained by the lung airway tubes). antibiotics are always useful for infections regardless of where the infection is. sometimes doctors use antibiotics massively early on in an upcoming lung infection. when they do the lay public perceives that as preventitive use when in authenticity its just early intervention. the only other med/s that might relief are those needed for asthma maintenance, and those used for acute asthma symptomology. you dont say anything about that nouns. still it sounds like your in the right medical scheme for your problem. Sounds right to me.
Antibiotics for infection
steroids (most often cortisone) reduce the amount of inflammation. It is circuitously used to "widen the airways", but my reducing the swelling it essentially does increase your ability to breathe easier.
