2 year hoary have runny trunk, impossible cough that make her throw up?

my daughter just woke up yesterday with a runny nose which i didnt expect was that big of a deal, probably a cold. but today she woke up with a impossible cough and a few times today shes coughed so hard that shes thrown up all over herself..and it sounds like she have phlegm in her chest..
what do you think this could be?? i am taking her to the hospital, i just want opinion
