Answers: I have be nicotine free for over 1 year now. I quit after 40 years of smoking. I was doing as much as two packs a light of day. I used Chantix for two months, but had to get off of it because it be making me grumpy and aggressive. However, I credit it with getting me through that first week. Going cold turkey after 2 months was much easier because I had worked through the physical addiction, which take about 72 hours. Either way it is one of the hardest things I have ever done contained by my life.
dn't want to replace one nicotine Habit with another, so I just get mad about nicotine controlling my life. Everyday be planned around how many cigarettes I would need. I decided I would be a slave no longer. I would be lying if I said I still don't want one once contained by a while, but now it's like craving chocolate, which means it go away in a moment. This was the first time I ever seriously tried to stop and I now fully get the drift why they say nicotine is harder to beat than heroin. You have to quit. In the short occupancy it is pleasurable in the long term it kills you. Source(s): Life
