What cause coughing up blood?
My boyfriend has not been sick, but coughed a couple of times and coughed up blood some blood mixed with saliva. He did it once or twice after that, but after it stopped. He hasn't coughed any more up other than those couple of times within 10 minutes. Does anyone know the cause of this? Thanks!

ummm tubercelosis (sp??)! i think you cough up blood sometimes if you have that?
aybe something he ate, cut the inside of his throat and it started to bleed? i dont know!
If he is an alcoholic, it's probably most likely cause by an extreme overdosage of alcohol. Make sure he's drinking lots of water!
If anything else, get him checked into a hospital, right now! It could be internal bleeding, or some kinda unpromising disease! Go to the hospital to be sure.
