A diabetic merciful next to a uncompromising cough?

My mom has been coughing for the last one month. Her cough is usually immensely bad during the night and she has be seen quite a number of doctors. All the doctors said the cough will rob longer time to heal as my mom is a diabetic patient. I wonder if i should bring her to see an specialist since her cough sounds like she have bronchitis and I am worried about her condition now. Kindly advise wat should i do to relieve her coughing at hours of darkness?
Answers:    If the air is dry, get a cool mist humidifier and run it. That will help some. I own had good success beside a warm salt water gargle. This is partly a spoonful of salt in half a cup of thaw out water. Make sure that Mom is getting enough liquids. Hot tea and broth are accurate for unclogging the breathing tubes.
areful of cough syrups and cough drops. Many of them are very sugary, which she doesn't have need of. I like Hall's Sugar Free cough drops. I think that they taste pretty right, and in fact I like them better than the regular sugary ones, as they don't resign from my mouth with a nasty sugary coating. I have comparatively a sweet tooth, and generally I don't like sugar free products, but this one works for me.

If she sounds like she have bronchitis, she will probably need antibiotics, and so of course she'll need to see a doctor. She probably won't want to see a specialist, as any competent doctor will be able to tell whether she has bronchitis and can prescribe antibiotics for it.
