How can i bring up to date if my son is using chewing tobacco?

Im not sure if he is or isn't and don't want to accuse him of something he may not be doing. My son is 17 years old and is too young to buy tobacco products but he still may be getting chewing tobacco. Please backing anything I can look out for would be much appreciated. Thank You
Answers:    As someone who has chewed tobacco since they were 14 i think i can minister to you with this one. He has someone who will buy for him. He may keep abandoned bottles around to spit in. Look for small brown flakes between the teeth when he opens his mouth. He may also run his tongue between his lower teeth and cheeks/lip when he is craving a "dip". Many kids who carry tins of chewing tobacco near them will keep it in a jacket pocket or behind their wallet, so it is not clearly visible. This will cause the wallet to protrude more than normal If you lock in him rinsing out empty pop bottles this could also be a sign that he is "disposing of the evidence". If he is I think the best way to approach it would be within a non accusing way, sometimes getting mad just make them determined to hide it better. Best of luck, and i truly hope he is not, its a hard habit to see. On a side note, its nice that you care so much.
