I sing, but can i own a few cigs as economically?

I sing and im fulfilling my dream in opera but i was merely curious if smoking a few cigs a month could really damage a voice.
could always go beside electric cigarettes. They are safer (no tar, and the extra stuff the big cig companies put in them), you still get nicotine.
I own a coupon code I use to get 10% off my electronic cigs.

I have been smoking for 15 years, and I switched to electric cigs, and my voice feel better, my body feels better, and it doesnt offend non-smokers so much because it doesnt smell badly. Source(s): http://www.greensmoke.com

ve had singing lessons since i be 6 and I am in a band as well as doing my grades, festival and competitions.

Although i started smoking when i was 11 (wrong crowd) and i have been ever since and it have definitely made a difference to my voice.
I know it is only a couple but it will start to make a difference.
nding on the style of singing depends whether you can achieve away with it. Some famous singers can as their voices are important for that husky quality that comes from smoking. People such as p!nk and nina simone.

BUT if you want to carry on singing opera, which is the most demanding of adjectives genres, i would say that you should give up asap.
I can already consistency it ruining my voice and that dosent make a difference in my band but when i am supposed be singing sweetly and i nouns like a 50 year old blues singer, it dosent go down too economically :P
this helped.
Some singers who smoke say that it improves their voice.
Nat King Cole was one of the best singers ever and he smoked 100 a daytime.

P.S. He died of lung cancer.
In my view it is not a good idea. The final choice is yours. You will be increasing your likelihood of getting cancer by 30 %. This is only the begining.
