Is it possible that I own asthma?
I'm 22 and had asthma when I was a lot younger. I've notice recently that sometimes it feels like my lungs are tightening up, and I only just can't breathe. It makes my heart pound really hard and it's quite unpleasant. This usually happen when my brother or mom smoke around me.
d this be asthma?
Answers: Yes, asthma is never "cured" if you had symptoms when you were younger then you are predisposed to attacks. I never untried anything about asthma until my 4 year old developed a cough that wouldn't go away. He never have any symptoms during the summer but every winter at the first sign of a cough I listen to his lungs and sure enough he is "weasing" a few treatments later and he is perfectly fine. Smoke is a big trigger for asthma along near perfume, allergies, dust mites but treatment can be so simple, an inhaler could really ease your pain! Just try to get an appointment beside your doc and they can prescribe one for you!
Asthma is an 'episodic' illness - this means that contained by between the periods of time when you are experiencing asthma symptoms you can be well for long periods - even oodles years.
Asthma in adults can be a recurrence of childhood asthma. In some cases, the asthma simply persists into adult years. In others, the childhood asthma clears up, only to reappear later in energy as adult onset asthma. The usual asthma symptoms are present, including breathlesness, wheezing, cough (especially at night), chest tightness, production of mucus. Cigarette smoke is a powerful trigger of asthma symptoms, and (plus/minus other triggering factors such as stress, disorder etc) could lead to a recurrence of asthma symptoms in adult years.

Yes it comes back throughout your life sometimes. You need to see your doc. it also could be frenzy attacks if you are under stress.
there are all different forms of asmtha, it can come and go. in attendance are also alot of different ways to bring it on, here are some being in a dusty area, running, weather, stress and allergies... if it is both running (exercising) and breathing ciggerate smoke consequently it is a very high possibility that it is asmtha, but i would go and speak to your doctor for more advocate. Source(s): go and see a doctor, and yes its possibly asthma.
