Why am I have trouble breathing?
For the past couple of days, off and on I've felt similar to someone is sitting on my chest, making it difficult to breathe. Today I felt like my throat was closing up and I can just take a breath.
could be causing this?
My mom says it's in recent times allergies, could that be it?
Answers: yes it could be allergies. have u had an asthma check up at the doctors to see if u have that. if your chest make a squeeky noise when u breath out then u could have asthma. except i would suspect allergy to dust or pollen.

/If you were my daughter, I would be very concerned and I would gain you to a doctor ASAP just to rule out that it's nothing more serious than allergies. That could also be a sympton of a pending heart attack. Or, it could be a severe spontaneous effect to something and you could go into anaphalactic shock if your throat closes up and your tongue swells, etc. I really would check it out unless your mom knows it is from allergies because maybe you've have this type of problem before at allergy time?
