Is It Safe 2 Take Cough Syrup While Having Asthma?

I Was Diagnosed With Having Asthma Last Week I Went 2 The Emergency Room With Trouble Breathing And Severe Dizziness. They Gave Me A Breathing Treatment And Some Steroid Pills & Azithromycin Pills Along With An Inhaler. I'm Almost Done With Taking The Weeks Dose Of Pills... The Only Problem Is That I Still Have A Bad Cough That Effects Me More At Night It's Not As Bad As It Was When I Went To The E.R. But It's Annoying So I Was Wondering Is It Possibly Safe To Take A Cough Syrup While Still Being On These Medications.. I Was Thinking About Taking Robitussin DM or CF Please Can Someone Help Me
Answers:    ask your doctor who diagnosed your asthma and gave you the prescriptions. then ask the pharmacist.
You need to speak to your doctor and procure a stronger inhaler.
rently its not safe as cough syrup and asthma inhalers contain the same active ingrediant so it can end in you to over dose.

EDIT:
sorry about you ending up going to hospital, ive ended up contained by hospital a couple of times from asthma attacks its not nice espically when you dont know its an asthma attack, hope your ok now though.
