Answers:    Ther blood cells are shaped differently, compared to the normal flat donut shape. Only affecting family who live in africa or extremely tropical areas, it is a mutation to help humans combat malaria, which affects the blood. So it is considered a helpful disease, contained by a way.
My friend did a project on that a couple of months ago. WEll it's a disease that affects only people on the african continent and is cause by the excessive breeding of family members with one another from one classmates to the next. Apparently it has something to do with ailing blood but I'm not sure about that.
