Am I developing asthma?
Lately I've been having trouble breathing, and have be hyperventilating and freaking out a lot. At night I often find sharp pains in my sides and almost 24/7 it feels like my lungs are anyone crushed by my ribs [sometimes it's more severe]. When I was in the vet's office, I have a panic attack, started crying and nearly fainted then adjectives of a sudden I felt like I was drowning and 'forgot' how to breathe. I haven't talk to a doctor yet but I want to know.. could I be developing asthma?
Answers: Im having the same problem...Its driving me crazy but I get checked out already and they said Im fine, so first Id reccomend you to get checked.
positive side is that panick attacks are completely harmless so you should try NOT be afraid of them even thought they are really scary. Try to go next to the fear and tell yourself that your body is fooling you and that youre fine.
Worked for me and I havent had panick attacks...but Im still experimenting shortness of breath so Im seeing a shrink pretty soon...
Most probable it wont be asthma...so be prepared if they say youre physically fine...I know its hard but it might be all within your head like I said.
Well, for one thing, wretchedly, you may have some sort of disorder or disease, but maybe not asthma. Best thing to do, is catch yourself to your doctor right away! But your descriptions, I think, match the symptoms of asthma. God bless you, and I hope it's not serious and if it is, I hope you recover.
