What is an asthma attack approaching?
yeah i know this is a weird question but my best friend has asthma and i enjoy always wondered what it is like for him and i worry going on for him so much! i don't mean to offend anyone or anything, im just curious. appreciation!
Answers: When I have my attacks they vary depending on why/what sets it off.
When I own an attack I start to feel the ability to take wide breaths impossible.I start to cough and wheeze.My chest feels like someone is giving me a bear hug and not letting travel.As time goes by my wheezing get worse and I'm coughing non stop.I'm now gasping for nouns.Of course I use my inhaler by this time.Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.When my inhaler doesn't work I have to get to the hospital fast.

You can actually get the impression the air going into your lungs,
When you are having an asthma attack you can't feel that you can't be aware of the air going into your body, its like your air get caught of in the middle of your breathing, it's indescribable. its like the air doesnt capture to your lungs
Like breathing through a straw. Would not wish it upon anyone.
like an elephant standing on you while you are a fish (out of water) and every time you try to breathe it forces the elephant down harder on you
For me, it is a wheezingtightness in my chest. Hard to breath in or out, no air movement when I do. I have a feeling like I'm strangling. Breathing takes conscious effort and I have a feeling faint and exhausted. In a severe attack, it is quite scary. I other know where a rescue inhaler is kept wherever I go.
