I swallowed river and it's contained by my lungs!?
I'm sure it's in your stomach. If it went down your windpipe instead of your gullet, you would instantly start choking and coughing. It's a defense mechanism that's pretty tricky to bypass.
If water really had been within your lungs "all day", you'd have been inert a long time ago. ;) We call that 'drowning'.
your overreacting. if you really did get water into your lungs you would at most minuscule be choking all day. and your stomach is right below you lungs so what you feel is newly probably the liquids in your stomach.
