i'd say that without zero gravity there will always be some down ward pressure on everything so it sound's bogus to me! Source(s): me and common sense
The problem is, pressure is not the only cause of bedsores. An air mattress that provides variable support can help. But nutrition, infection and poor circulation play a much bigger role. Diabetics in particular are quite prone to bedsores due to the disease's impact on peripheral circulation.
Basically 2 types of pressure relieving mattress, filled with air or water.

The theory is not ' totally no pressure', but rather, the mattress, powered by electricity, fill the mattress with air/water at different site, different time. So that the contact point do not have pressure constantly at the same site.
im sorry i dont know if you can get special beds :(
but sudocrem helps? ♥
i work at a hospital and bed sores are common that's why the nurse goes into the patients room and moves them over, repositions them to try and keep them more comfortable. what about adding a cushioned pad over your mattress? or buying a therapeutic mattress there pretty expensive but its an option. good luck
