Am I allergic to walking?

No, I'm not being lazy or making excuses it's just that every time I travel for a walk or run or roller skate or bike ride I start to get itchy legs. It starts down lower but once it gets to my thighs it's excruciating and if I hold on to walking or whatever I'm doing they start to get red and rashy. The further I walk the more agony I'm surrounded by coz they are so itchy I feel like I've been bitten by a million mosquitos and the itchiness and impetuous works it's way up to my butt & hips.
Does anyone have any idea what is cause this?
I'm 24, I'm very petite, not fat and jiggly or anything and I can't work it out for the life of me!
Answers:     You can be allergic to exercise. Go to a doctor Source(s): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exercise_al…
I am sure you are NOT allergic to walking, however you could be allergic to something else. When this happens, you are being physical and possibly sweating. It could be the soap or lotion you are using. Maybe it forms an adverse hostile response when it mixes with sweat. Try antibacterial soaps and do not use lotion before walking or running. Hope this helps.
The curious thing is that it is localized in your legs only.
llergy to soap, lotion, laundry detergent, etc., would tend to show on other parts of your body as powerfully. I mean, you don't just sweat on your legs, right? When you exercise your whole body perspires. The cross-question is why are you seeing this only on your lower body?

I would start with a trip to a dermatologist. How long does the rash/itchiness last? Can you attain an appointment with a dermatologist, say at 3:00 pm. Drive to their office at 2:15 and travel for a run. See if you can make it happen during your appointment. Call the nurse ahead of time and tell her of your plan. Make sure the doc can see you right when you finish your run.
