Questions almost birthmark removal...?

i have a birthmark above my lip and i was thinking about getting it removed..first, will it hurt? second, does it really work? third, is at hand any hospital stay after the procedure is over? and last, is there any detail on how the procedure is done?
Answers:    i went to the dermatologist for it.

and they give me this cream, and it disappeared in about 2 months.!!
probably lazer, or a removing creme, but probably lazer
