Any counsel on getting rid of proud flesh on my finger? (preferably not surgical?)?

I have proud flesh on my finger. It's on both sides of my fingernail, and is creeping under it. I've had it removed twice by a dermatologist, it lately keeps growing back. I'm looking for other alternatives, suggestions?
Answers:    Call it names I don`t know that will make it ashamed and it will retreat.
