Am I beneficial my abscess correctly?
Also, they thought that my infection was MRSA so i don't know if that makes a difference.
Answers: As I understand you have it cut and cleaned by the doctor, so why you were using q tips? He should have prescribed some antiseptic solution to soak the open abcess beside.
So if is already open, and it does not heal, I would soak it with a saline solution, as the saline kills every germ, and helps to empty the pus out of it. Or else budge back to the doctor and tell him to wash the abcess next to some antiseptic solution.
