How can I narrate if I hold cold sores or canker sores and how do I treat them and a swollen tongue?

I've been in China the past few weeks and get all these tiny white colored painful sores all over my mouth concluding week, and then my tongue started to swell up yesterday. I've never had canker or cold sores and I'm not sure how to tell the difference between the two or how to treat them. I am a lacto-vegetarian and have been careful more or less what I eat, so I don't know why I got them or why my tongue is so swollen. I've been flying pretty frequently and be in extreme heat, so I don't know if the physical stress of it all is the sense or what.
not in an area where I'd touch comfortable going to a hospital, so I need advice on home remedies.
