Can I sue my mother for giving me herpes?
I was born with birth-acquired herpes. At the time of my birth, my mother had an infection of it (in her nouns.) For the 19 years of my life, I have experienced outbreaks and sores on my face and mouth. My request for information is, can I take her to court for this? I've thought about suing her for reckless endangerment.
Answers: This is a terribly self-centered question. You should feel lucky that you are simply alive today. Your mother could not abet that she had an outbreak during your birth. The hospital should not have had a vaginal birth; she be not in control of the situation. Many people have herpes. Take to your doctor going on for medications that can help control your outbreaks. It is not a big deal.

Finally, I think you should really look inside your heart and figure out why you are so angry with your mother. Seriously, immature endangerment? What was she supposed to do - NOT deliver you when she was in labor?? Just held you surrounded by? Sores that go away shouldn't be inciting you to sue your mom unless you have other issues with her. Look into those and stop worrying in the order of cold sores.
