How are herpes transmitted?
my bf got herpes from his driver... without any sexual contact of corse......but me n my bf kissed yesterday...will i get herpes too?

skin to skin contact... if cold sores this most common the week before, while and a week after the cold sore..most people know when one is on its means of access so avoid kissing at those times ALSO if you both having sex do not receive oral sex at the times mentioned above as you can get genital herpes. Herpes is transmitted by skin to skin contact. By your put somebody through the mill I am assuming you are meaning oral herpes. Not sure what you mean by he got herpes today? The virus is busy and he has a sore? If so then yes you can get it. The virus have to be active to pass it to someone else. There is times with at hand is no visable symptoms and it can be passed (refered to as shedding) and when a sore is present it can be. If he has a sore present the fluid from it is very contagious. If you have not all the same contracted it then, you need to not kiss him when he has a sore present or own any other sexual contact. If you have a sore come up in the future, you should travel to the doctor to be tested to take the right precaution in the future. Also if you do not obtain a sore there is still a blood test than can be done to detect the virus. I would recommend getting test to give a hand prevent further passing of the virus even if its just back and forth to one another. Good luck to you!
