Now..am I at risk? I researcehd and googled and the answer seem to be NO since the pesky HIV cant pass through intact skin...

Oh..I am terrified !
Answers:    Well, in my judgment you shouldn't be worried, although I can understand why you are, just relax, it possibly wasn't even blood, and if say you DID take into custody something, you already have it, so no use driving yourself crazy over it. But I'm 99 % sure your probably fine. What did you do today that you could have gotten blood on your hand from? Anyways, if it make you feel better, schedule a doctor appt. and ask him for you to be tested for HIV and Hepatitis B. k?
Lotions and creams passed through the blood? I don't think so. The best ones go into the skin a couple of layer, we hope, to help with dry skin and wrinkles. A better example would be a patch. Nicotine and pain patch do get into the blood stream, but they are designed to do that. The molecules are so small that they can and do pass through. Blood isn't made the same opening. Man didn't design it.

So the answer is No, you are not at risk. Sleep easy. Source(s): medical background &
Relax Source(s): Registered Nurse
