Can hsv-1(oral) turn into hsv- 2(genital)?

i have hsv-1, most people do and your born with the disease. however i enjoy a cold at the minute and i have been touching it to put cream on and to check how big it is. after that i have made contact next to my penis and after that soon after the head of it began to burn. can hsv-1 turn into hsv-2 or even effect the genital region.
Answers:    People are not generally born beside HSV-1 but it is so easy to catch that many or most general public have had it. HSV-1 is usually associated with cold sores and HSV-2 is usually associated near genital Herpes. Either one can transfer to the others' normal location but it is not as easy as to verbs cold sore to mouth or genital herpes to genitals. In other words, each has its site of preference and might, but won't efficiently spread to the other site.
ou are saying your hand immediately "come into contact" with your penis by masturbation, I'd guess there is a very small adjectives of transfer but I think the odds of the burning sensation are more possible from another cause...friction, reaction to a lubricant perhaps? If it be more casual contact like going to the bathroom, the odds of transferring HSV-1 to your penis would be vastly low but not zero. Source(s): http://www.smart2ask.org/popups/Herpes.h…

HSV1 can affect the genital area but it doesn't turn into HSV2. These are slightly different strains of the herpes virus but they can affect the opposite location. HSV2 can be passed to the mouth and HSV1 can be passed to the genitals. It's possible but you're not likely to verbs your cold sores to your own genitals. The herpes virus doesn't last for more then seconds when it's away from the body. You can how ever overhaul your cold sores onto some ones genitals if you give them oral sex with an out break of cold sores.
You do not spread the virus to other parts of your own body after the first episode. Even in fresh cases the infection is usually limited to one part of the body. Some people will lock in it in two places, for instance they may get it on their hands as okay since hands can be involved in sexual activitiy. This is called a whitlow. If you own caught it in more than one place, you will notice the symptoms during your first outbreak.
What is the difference between the two herpes simplex types?
Either type can be contracted on the face or on the genitals. The individual difference to you is that type 1 is more likely to recur when it is caught on the face and type 2 is more likely to recur when affecting the genitals. Type 1 does not recurrently recur if caught on the genitals. There is no difference in the visible symptoms caused by the two types, so it is solitary possible to establish which type you have caught through a laboratory test. Both viruses are call herpes simplex virus. Source(s): http://www.herpes.org.uk/faq.html#7
yes! oral hsv-1 can be transmitted to the genital region. it's still hsv-1, but just has infected the genitals. it also can afterwards be spread to your sexual partner's genitals during sex OR to thier mouth during oral sex.
t believe the answers that say you re unlikely to transmit it from your mouth to genitals... it IS possible, and in fact I hold seen cases of it!!

If you have transferred it to your genitals, you will generally develop a sore at the site, so hold a close eye on it! And make sure you use condoms for any sexual activity!
