I've have blood test done in the past, but never specifically for an STD. Would I know by immediately if I have one?

I'm just a little paranoid, seeing as I had an ex who... might own slept with someone before me? I swallowed once with him, and presently I'm worried about giving something to my boyfriend. It's been over a year since I did the sexual act, and between consequently and now I've had blood work done for different things. Would it show up, would I know by now, or do I hold to get tested for STD's specifically.
never had intercourse. Only swallowed once. Just paranoid.
Answers:    no those are usually separate test. but honestly swallowing has nothing to do with anything.

STDs will show up only in test specifically done for them. For anyone who had high risk sexual contacts, consider the following tests: HIV, TPHA / VDRL for Syphilis, Hepatitis C, Hep B (if not vaccinated), Genital Herpes, Urine routine, Urine /swab for chlamydia
If you are worried, get tested - both of you together - consequently you will both know where you stand. Source(s): Registered Nurse
