I take daily suppressive pills yet I still enjoy about one outbreak everyother week and it takes awhile to go away! Ive hear of things like lemon or grapefruit juice and zinc just call for some more ideas. I know i have so many due to stress and my immune system suck regardless of the certainty that I take daily vitamins. This is genital not oral btw.
Answers:    I've other been told to take Lysine to help prevent outbreaks. If you are have such frequent outbreaks, you might check out your diet and make sure you are not ingesting high levels of arginine. It's found surrounded by foods like Gelatin, chocolate, carob, coconut, oats, wholewheat and, white flour, peanuts, soybeans, and wheatgerm. I always seem to enjoy an outbreak after eating popcorn. You can try using over the counter creams from the pharmacy approaching Abreva or Lipactin. Applying one of them regularly to the sore should help make the sore go away faster. Try to do some things to relieve your stress, stress is a big trigger of out breaks. I don't guess citrus juices or zinc would be very effective, they work better on canker sores.
If you can find an ointment next to Melissa Officinalis leaf (also known as Lemon Balm) in it...apply it a few times a light of day for an outbreak or if you feel one coming on. Works quickly and is known for herpes..genital and mouth cold sores. Actually it works great! You may stop up getting rid of hte suppressive pills! . Usually in decent health food stores I also produce/sell it if you can't find it Source(s): self www.root2health.com
Try eating foods that boost your immune system(You could research this).I read somewhere that when your body's oxygen level is illustrious your outbreaks will be minimal because the virus wont survive. That's what i've been doing and my outbreaks have decreased. Eating like mad of fruits and veggies helps but u have to find out which are good or impossible.
