When you donate blood, would they enlighten you if your blood is HIV Pos?
I want to know.
Answers: Yea, if you have it they will call you in. And they in good health tell you =[
Yes, they tryout the blood for any blood borne contagious diseases, viruses, bacteria. If anything comes up abnormal within your blood, they are required to send you a letter stating that something came put money on abnormal and you then need to see the Dr. Although what I said would indeed consent to you know you were HIV positive, I do not agree with donating blood just to simply find out if you are positive, their are "mouth swab" fast tests or blood tests you can get at any clinic to find out your HIV status. Source(s): RN
they do test blood before using it for anything. They have your info so they can contact you.
Yes. They would theory test the blood before you gave it to make sure you didn't own any blood borne diseases (HCV, HIV, etc.)
Yes. They are duty bound to contact you if you hold HIV. Most places also have a website to check the results. It is a lot cheaper than paying for a test.
