A ask something like HIV?

I heard from a bloke in the pub that scientists think the HIV virus come from monkeys. He said it raises some questions as to how humans first got it.
anyone know if what the guy said is true and save what is the theory on it?

The theory is that in an African small town, the villagers would eat monkeys. To the Africans, monkeys are delicacies. The monkeys carried the HIV virus, which they were consuming. Overtime it surfaced the entire planet. (I do NOT believe it came from man having sex with monkeys which is another "theory").

There are two schools of thought. The main one is that it started out as a non-fatal disease within monkeys and somehow (possibly by ingestion of contact) got transmitted to humans.
The other is that it was created as a bio-weapon.

Yep that's about right. but i think they where on earth eating the said monkeys not having sex with them.
i heard that the virus spread around when a guy had sex with a monkey. when i enunciate this i don't mean to offend anyone but i also heard that gay males during the 80's interval were a main cause of the disease one spread as it was not very well prearranged and most of them didn't use any condoms. i'm not placing the blame all on them because the use and reuse of needles for drugs and what not during this period was also a major cause of the disease being spread.

someone had a good time next to a monkey, i dont think anyone want the details. but in all seriousnes african tribes ate monkeys (duh) and eventuly white family got it from relations
