HPV--any other girls out here?
Hey girls. HPV is the most common thing nowadays girls are gettin. I lately found out about mine in december..anyone else have it and enjoy any stories or advice.. about the later stages if it doesnt clear up? I can`t stand how people think so bad of it close to its a nasty disease or something...most women and especially men have it and dont even know it! lol
Answers: hi! i've had mine since 2003 and in the origination i was very upset and i felt angry at my partner. But approaching everything else you get used to it. recommendations are not to smoke, take vitamins, go and get a re pap every 6 months and if necessary they might do a colposcopy which is very uncomfortable but worth it, since this is the merely way to take a sample of your uterus to detect any cell translate. Become educated and try not to stress out
It's more common than people have an idea that. I contracted it at a very young age and it disappeared within a year and hasn't returned contained by 14 years.A girlfriend of mine had to have it removed 2 years after diagnosis and it hasn't returned in 22 years. I did read that most of the time your immune system clears it up readily. If it doesn't clear up it can lead to cancer but I think this is only when it hasn't be treated for a long period of time.
Hi !
Almost 7 years later it happen again and I was diagnosed with HPV and low-grade intra-epithelial squamous lesion. (Basically, my cervix had some unexpected cells as a consequence) HPV has no symptoms and can be dormant for years and years then wake up up again, so we guess I was infected sometime in my wild years LOL (Neither myself or stable partner of several years cheated, and I DO believe him, LOL)
I purely got follow-up PAP tests every six-months.
ently, I had a child. During pregancy, it turned into a high-grade lesion. My ob-gyn wasn't worried and said it happens often, because of all the hormones. Six months post partum, she tested again and when it be still high-grade (at risk for cervical cancer) she decided to remove it. Two months ago I had a LEEP procedure that went very well although I've just now stopped bleeding. I will be seeing my doctor again in 4 months...
So, adjectives this long post sounds scary, but it really wasn't. You just live with it, and be aware that even if it's gone, it might come posterior. If your doctor is worried, they will take it out like mine and it's not supposed to ever come back after. It's waaaaayyyy better to know and achieve treated than to not know and get cervical cancer !!
Eww no! I'm a virgin :-) (right)
