Will septra ds treat chlamydia?

My girlfriend had a UTI and was treated with septra ds. I only just got tested and found out I have chlamydia and she doesn't. Could it be that her medication cured hers and not mine?

Answers:    No. See more on treating Chlamydia in my article: http://www.examiner.com/x-7707-Tampa-Dis…
No. You'd need azithromycin, doxycycline, or a fluoroquinolone for treatment of chlamydia. She should be tested again, as there are false negative. Otherwise, she may have been very lucky! Good reminder to other use condoms.
Well, chlamydia and UTI's are very different. If you have ever had sex near someone else then its possible you contracted it from them, but if she doesnt and you two have sex then she must be lucky. lol. It would not be her medication since its two different infections. Chlamydia can also be caught from poor hygene. A friend of mine owns a dildo that she didnt verbs properly and because of that... gave her chlamydia.
Just make sure to wash "down there" on a daily basis, before and after sex that way bacteria doesnt own a chance to build up.
